{"id":11567,"date":"2025-10-24T11:15:33","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T08:15:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/startadr.org\/?p=11567"},"modified":"2025-10-24T11:15:36","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T08:15:36","slug":"epilysi-diaforon-stin-epochi-ton-psifiakon-platformon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/startadr.org\/en\/epilysi-diaforon-stin-epochi-ton-psifiakon-platformon\/","title":{"rendered":"Dispute Resolution in the Age of Digital Platforms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The first Info Session of startADR highlighted the future of online justice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>startADR<\/strong> carried out with great success the <strong>Info Session \u201cDispute Resolution in the Age of Digital Platforms\u201d<\/strong>, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, bringing together a large number of participants from all over Greece, lawyers, mediators, law students and professionals in the field of regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was a <strong>dynamic introduction to the new era of digital justice<\/strong>, as it is shaped through the <strong>Digital Services Act (DSA) Regulation<\/strong> and the <strong>out-of-court dispute resolution procedures<\/strong> between users and digital platforms (Articles 20\u201321).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Disputes are transformed into digital ones and with them the administration of justice<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As our transactions, communications and interactions move to digital platforms, <strong>Conflicts and disagreements no longer arise only in the physical world.<\/strong>, but on the contrary they are born <strong>within social media, marketplaces and e-shops themselves<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Account bans, content deletions, complaints of rights infringement or unfair practices, all of these require <strong>a new form of justice: direct, digital, accessible and above all effective.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>startADR, as the <strong>first Greek Alternative Dispute Resolution body with international recognition<\/strong>, is located <strong>at the forefront of this evolution<\/strong>, having already implemented two European projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the <strong>TravelODR<\/strong>, which brings together travelers and businesses in the transport and tourism industry through the mobile application of the same name, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the <strong>startODR (ODR4ALL)<\/strong> to promote electronic dispute resolution in e-commerce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Info Session: A look at the future of mediation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, the new <strong>DSA institutional framework<\/strong>, which introduces for the first time <strong>out-of-court dispute resolution process between users and digital platforms<\/strong>, while the critical and pivotal role of <strong>ODS Facilitator<\/strong>, of a young professional, who is called upon to <strong>bridge the gap between users and digital platforms<\/strong>, ensuring a balance between freedom of expression, responsibility and transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ODS Facilitator Training, a unique professional opportunity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the second part of the presentation, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/startadr.org\/en\/ekpaidefsi-ods-facilitator\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2153\">ODS Facilitator Training<\/a><\/strong>, the <strong>first specialized training program in Europe<\/strong>, which prepares professionals for this new role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training (20 hours, entirely online) combines <strong>legal, ethical and technical training<\/strong>, with <strong>real case studies<\/strong>, <strong>case simulations<\/strong> and <strong>communication and conflict de-escalation tools<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>THE <strong>The first cycle was completed with impressive success.<\/strong>, creating the first and only pan-European active community of ADR\/ODR\/ODS professionals, while confirming the need for specialized executives who can serve justice in resolving disputes that arise on digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>THE <strong>2nd cycle starts on October 30, 2025<\/strong> (October 30-31 and November 6-7), giving participants:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>completion certification,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>possibility of integration into <strong>Official ODS Facilitators Panel<\/strong> of startADR,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>free annual membership fee<\/strong> at startADR (value 150\u20ac),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and access to real cases and European projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A new chapter for justice on the internet<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>OR <strong>digital mediation<\/strong> is no longer a theory.
